Map Update - TSM Version 9.0

Map update procedure in Thai

Gadgetrend would like to inform that updated map for Thailand is available for Garmin units bundled with Thailand Street Map as well as Thai map installation customer. The latest version called Thailand Street Map V 9. In this updated map, there are more than 500,000 POIs and add 10,000 km. of roads throughout the country, business logo display in the map, add more than 10,000 telephone number and more. It is available for you through different ways as follows:

Important:
If you purchased the unit within one year and certain that you are eligble for free map update, please use Method 1.

If you purchased the unit more than one year but still eligible for map update as Gadgetrend have informed you, please contact Gadgetrend Thong Lor - 0-2712-9751 & 9752 to help you to update the map.

If you purchase the unit more than one year and not eligible for free map update, you can order the map through the web below. You also can contact ESRI at 0-2266-9945. They will be able to help you arranging the map update payment and shipping method.

If all else fail, please contact Gadgetrend Thong Lor - 0-2712-9751 & 9752. We will help you get through this process.

This map is provided by ESRI, all fees and charges are charged by ESRI. Gadgetrend and Dynatrend has no revenue in the map update process. We are trying to supply the best available GPS to our customers.

Method 1:

Download from ESRI web site http://www.gpssociety.com/_En/Default_En.aspx

You need to prepare serial# of you unit before the registration process. Serial# for most unit is on the back side, the lower part of the unit, or under the flip antenna with Garmin label. Some handheld units, serial# is in the battery compartment. You also can obtain it from the box, it's in the small white barcode strip on the box.

Procedure:

Step 1:
If you had registered with this web before, please login.
If not, please create new user.

Step 2: choose Update Map, if you registered before.

If you just registered, please click Product List.

Step 3: Choose the model. Type serial# of your unit. Then press "Next."

Choose the deliver method.

Click "download map in English language" or else.

For other deliver mode, please scroll below.

Step 4:

Download and save file.

When this window pop-up, click "Save File"

File size is around 80 MB.

Download speed is depend on your Internet provider as well as the number of people downloading the map at the same time with you and etc.

Warnings & Possible hiccups:
1. Download is the most convenient way and cheapest way to obtain the map. However, the map company has limited server capacity, sometime it might be slow to download or come up with ERROR message. Please be patient and try again.
2. Download is allow for 3 times per unit. If there are errors and the web said you exceed that limit, you need to proceed with other methods.
3. If you successfully download the map but the map doesn't show up or has any error with it, please contact ESRI at 0-2266-9945 Mon.-Fri. 9am to 6pm. We will need to get your info again to help solving the problem for you.

Method 2:

Pick up the CD by yourself at ESRI office.

You need to register via the web site in Method 1, step 2, and choose "Pick up map CD by myself at ESRI office"

You can pick it up 3 days after register. ESRI office map can be found in the link on registration page.

Method 3:

Ask ESRI to mail the map to you by paying 150 baht for shipping and handling. If you want this method, you need to choose "Mail map CD to address on previous page" in Method 1, Step 3.

After that you need to deposit 150 baht to ESRI bank's account as follow:

Saving a/c

Then, fax the deposit slip to 0-2266-9944 to ESRI with your name and serial#. ESRI will mail the CD to you within a week after receiving the payment.
